T-Mobile and Orange have been working hard over the past few months to enable their customers to roam seamlessly between their two networks whilst on a call. This means that customers should experience less interruption in call due to dropped calls. The service has been rolled out to a large part of the country and completion is expected by the end of December.

Customers will also be able to benefit from 3G roaming between the two networks meaning faster speeds for internet and 3G calling.

If you would like any more information or any details of the great benefits we could offer your business please give us a call on 01204 595335.

The rumours and news stories surrounding the iPhone 5 are increasing with their intensity day by day. Several tech and news magazines and websites claim to have a release date and are discussing the possible new features of the device. There is no real word on whether the device will be called the iPhone 4GS or the iPhone 5, and no release date has been given for any country as of yet.

Apple have previously released their new devices in June/July so the fact that nothing has been mentioned so far this year is fuelling speculation that a September/October Autumn release date is due.

Here at T-Phone we are scouring the news sites and will keep you informed with all the latest information as and when we hear it!

BlackBerry® Smartphones are great business devices that make life easier for the user. Did you know you could make things even quicker by using some of these built in shortcuts?

There are loads of messaging and browser shortcuts that can be found on your BlackBerry Smartphone. To find out more, go to the Help icon on your homescreen, and press shortcuts! Here are just a few we find very useful:

Press R to reply to a message

Press F to forward a message

Press T to go to the top of a long message, and B to go to the bottom (this also works on a webpage too!)

Press U to go to the next unopened item

Fast Search - You can search for contacts, messages and inside files and web pages – press S to search in contacts and messages and F to search in other apps.

Archive, don’t uninstall! - Only the very latest BlackBerry models have anything like enough memory for all the apps you want. When you run out of space, pick the ones you use least and archive them to your microSD card (this only works with apps from App World). Select the app in the My World sections of App World and choose Menu > Archive; archived apps have a green arrow on their icons and you can click them to reinstall – but you may have to restart to archive or restore an app.

Save money on texting! – BlackBerry Pin Messenger is the perfect way to save money on texting (providing your desired recipient owns a BlackBerry!)

Hidden Help - The hidden ‘Help Me!’ screen shows the signal strength, battery level, device PIN, free space, space in use, IMEI, OS version, how long the BlackBerry has been on and some other info that can be useful for troubleshooting. View it by pressing Alt + Caps + H.

That’s it for now, come back soon for some more BlackBerry tips and tricks!

T-Mobile and Orange are announcing that their 30 million customers – the combined base of the two brands – will be given the opportunity to access both the Orange and the T-Mobile networks, enabling them to make calls and send texts in more places than ever before.

This marks the start of the biggest improvement to network coverage since the birth of mobile itself. It’s the beginning of an ambitious vision to give customers instant access to whatever they want, wherever they are – everything everywhere.

It’s the first major consumer benefit of the joint venture between Orange and T-Mobile, and delivers an unrivalled and unique experience that no other operator can offer. And it’s only possible because they ’ve come together to form a new company, Everything Everywhere.

From October, as well as continuing to benefit from their existing network, Orange customers will be able to make calls and send texts on the T-Mobile network, and T-Mobile customers will be able to make calls and send texts on the Orange network. Should a customer lose signal on their current network, they will then automatically pick up the signal from the other network where it’s available. The enhanced service is completely free of charge, with no changes to existing tariffs, call or text charges.

Early next year, the service will evolve and will deliver a completely seamless voice service, enabling customers to automatically switch networks mid-call. They ’ll also be enabling data roaming across their networks, so customers will be able to browse the web in more places than with any other operator.

Call us today to find out how you can benefit from having T-Phone as YOUR business partner, using T-Mobile and Orange on 01204 595335
